One-Line: How Navy rescue hijacked ship captain from Somalia pirates.
Plot: Cargo ship Captain Philipps sails from Adento Mombosa through Somalia. Philipps came to know by mails there was threat of hijacking so he do all precaution and tighten ship security and drill. Somalia pirates team who got Satellite locater of ship and intercept Phillps ship and approaching Philipps ship. after big fight Muse's pirates team from Somalia hijacked american ship and took 30,000 from the ship and kidnap Captain Philips to coast. then navy seal come and rescue him.
Positive:-
1. Very good detailing of Ship, and Somali people survive in sea for long days without food ( by leaves ). how pirates are technically updated,
2. Color tone variation ( Somalia, US, in the ship, in boat, in Marine ship, river) gives very good feel.
3. They are not taking any sides. simply showing both sides.
4. Muse and Philipps Characterization was too good.
5. Tom hanks acting was so good. when he realize pirates took ship and shocked by Gun shot.
6. Script was so detailing they are not jumping from one to other. both people shows their apposition completely.
7. cinematography was too good. they made us feel we are in sea. we can feel waves.
8. When Muse chase ship and failed and when Philips try to escape and failed scenes added pressure
Verdict: Screen play, good Detailing, cinematography
